Factory Built Housing Investments Since 2012

Since 2012, Peak Enterprises (and its predecessor Mission Peak Capital, collectively “Peak”) has invested in factory built housing communities across the United States, specifically focused on 3 and 4-bedroom detached, single family homes in manufactured housing and build-to-rent communities.

Over the last 12 years, Peak has invested in 3 and 4-bedroom housing properties on behalf of high net worth investors, family offices, and some of the largest institutional money managers and insurance companies in the US.

As a vertically integrated real estate company, Peak’s capabilities include internal property management, asset management, development and construction management, and a manufactured home sales and financing team.

FOUNDER & CEO

Chris Dunn

Spearheading the organization as the Founder/CEO of Peak Enterprises, Chris helps direct the strategy, vision and values of the company. With 35+ years in the real estate industry, Chris brings a multitude of experiences to Peak Enterprises.

Prior to Peak, Mr. Dunn spent over a decade at Deutsche Bank in various roles in New York, London, and Hong Kong. Most recently, he was a Managing Director and Head of Structured Finance in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Group based in New York. Other roles included Head of CRE Lending in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and Co-Head of CRE Asia (ex Japan). Before joining Deutsche Bank, Chris was a Principal in the Real Estate Finance Group at Bank of America and a Director in the Structured Finance Group at Standard & Poor’s. Chris holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University.

Jack O'Connor

Leading the team as the President of Peak Enterprises, Jack assures the overall development and execution of the housing platform’s vision and strategy while maximizing investment return.

For the past 25+ years, Mr. O’Connor’s extensive background in executive management, value-added market rate and affordable communities, ground up development, acquisition and disposition activity, people scaling for growth and producing above market IRR throughout multiple business cycles provides a springboard for capturing best in class returns on current and future investments. Jack holds a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of St. Thomas.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Jered Nussbaum

At the helm of operational leadership as Chief Operating Officer, Jered Nussbaum drives strategic and operational success. He ensures senior leaders have the resources and clarity needed to achieve their goals and propel the company forward. His leadership fosters collaboration and innovation, empowering team members to excel and contribute to growth.

Mr. Nussbaum's extensive background in operations, private equity, and corporate development equips him with a unique perspective. By optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency, he aligns strategic initiatives with the company's vision. Jered holds a BS in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin.

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

David Larson

Serving as the Chief Investment Officer for Peak Enterprises, David is responsible for the firm’s investment strategy and identifying market opportunities, supervising development and acquisition underwriting, ensuring investments meet their objectives, and institutional capital relationships.

In prior roles, Mr. Larson was responsible for managing the firm’s former third-party valuation and advisory business serving banks, insurance companies, and private real estate debt funds in the underwriting of $3.0 billion worth of commercial real estate and CRE loans as well as valuation and purchase/sale of $1.0+ billion of structured financial products including: CMBS, RMBS, CDOs, and CLOs. Mr. Larson is a CFA charter holder and holds a BS in Finance & Accounting from the University of Kansas.

CHIEF ACCOUNTING OFFICER

Mark Ellis

Leading the financial team at Peak Enterprises, Mark is responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, and treasury management, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Mark joined Peak Enterprises in 2023 after a 19-year career at Evergy (formerly Kansas City Power & Light), where he held various leadership positions in accounting, audit, and compliance functions. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and a BBA in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Iowa.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

P.J. Ventola

Leading the new development initiatives as the Director of Development, P.J. is responsible for leading the entitlement, predevelopment, and construction of Peak’s manufactured housing and build to rent development projects.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ventola has led the development of various real estate projects, including home subdivisions, manufactured housing communities, incentivized shopping center redevelopments and mixed used projects, and apartment to condo conversions. P.J. is a Member of the Appraisal Institute, holds a BS in Business from the University of Kansas, and an MBA from the University of Missouri Kansas City.

DIRECTOR OF HR

Gail Lytch

As the Director of Human Resources, Gail Lytch leads the development and implementation of HR strategies that support organizational growth and employee engagement. She focuses on optimizing talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management to foster a productive work environment.

Gail has extensive experience in human resources, specializing in recruitment, employee development, and compliance across various industries. Her background includes a BS in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, which enhances her ability to effectively manage HR functions and drive impactful organizational initiatives.

DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITIONS

Benton Glaze

Championing growth strategies as the Director of Acquisitions and Transactions of Peak Enterprises, Benton is responsible for managing the firm’s brokerage relationships the housing platform’s real estate, debt financing, and joint venture transactions.

Mr. Glaze has been with Peak Enterprises since 2010 and in his previous roles at the firm, Benton was responsible for managing the firm’s investments in performing and non-performing commercial real estate loans as well as CMBS, RMBS, and CDO securities. Benton holds a BA in the Economics of Business and Public Policy from the George Washington University.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Michaela Vartanian

As the Director of Marketing, Michaela leads strategic marketing efforts to enhance community brand awareness and drive home sales and leasing strategies. She specializes in developing innovative campaigns that align with market positioning.

Michaela has experience in both commercial and residential real estate, including value-added market rate and affordable communities, as well as acquisition and new development projects. She excels in market research, brand development, and digital marketing, ensuring an impactful approach to engaging target audiences. Michaela earned her BA in Marketing and MBA from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS.

DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION

Shawn Hughes

Heading up new development projects as the Director of Construction, Shawn expertly oversees new construction and home procurement, ensuring each project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Mr. Hughes has over 30 years of experience in construction and project management. Throughout his career, Shawn has managed projects ranging from multifamily and commercial remodels to ground up subdivisions, garden and mid-rise apartment buildings, office buildings, warehouses, and sports complexes. Mr. Hughes holds a BS in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Bryan Market

Overseeing Peak Management as the Director of Operations, Bryan is responsible for managing on-site community operations, leading property management and maintenance teams, and approving purchase transactions.

Mr. Market has served in various leadership and operational roles for over 35 years, including 22 years as an officer in the US Army focused on operational and tactical execution, education, and training. Bryan has served in various project and operation management positions for national affordable and military housing companies. Bryan has a BS in Management from the US Military Academy and a Master of Education from North Georgia College.
